Officers and committee roles:
Effective for 2020-21, here are the responsibilities for officers and the committees they will chair. President: This officer leads the club and sets the tone and agenda for all members for the coming year. The president should offer a strong vision for the club and provide encouragement for all members to contribute to the club-sponsored events and in community service. The president will preside over the full club meetings and will chair the Events Planning Committee, which will include all advanced planning and organization for the Harris Road Harvest, 5K, and State Convention. Committee will have many members, with attention divided between Events and the State Convention. Vice President: Working in conjunction with the president, the vice-president will support and project that same vision for the club and will assist in presiding over the full club meetings. Additionally, the vice-president will co-chair the Events Planning Committee. Committee will feature ten members. The VEEP will also be responsible for setting the agenda for club meetings. Reporter: This officer will chair the Advertising and Marketing Committee and will make sure that the club's major events, fundraising drives, and other special efforts will receive strong advance notice both within school and throughout the community. The secretary will, along with the advertising committee, be responsible for communicating to the club through hrmsbeta.org and through social media, especially Twitter (@hrmsbetaclub). Additionally, this committee will work hard to find sponsors and vendors who will support our efforts throughout the year. Therefore, this committee will work IN ADVANCE of the club's efforts. Committee will have six to eight members. Secretary: This officer will oversee the Service Committee, with the primary responsibilities being to seek the help of the full club for its many contacts through family and friends to build the club's imprint in the community. Additionally, the team will work with organizations in the community to arrange service opportunities. Committee will have about 10 members. |
